Greenwich Flea Market

We returned to the open-air flea market today that we discovered a couple of weeks ago, but the gal who sells beautiful linen pieces was not there. I was sad. Sadness didn't last long. Happy for me, I found a gorgeous necklace and visited with a fellow beader. : ) She admired the earrings I made whilst in Idaho one Christmas and gave me nice compliments. I miss the artsy stuff I'm used to doing, so it was so fun to talk beading. : ) Kiana found her happy place there too where she found more badges to add to her collection.

I've spent an hour trying to find this particular flea market on the web, but I can't. It's across the street from the Post Office, and between the Cinema and Clock Tower. The vendors all had different names for the market, but none of them are on the internet. I wrote the City Council to see if they'd help me. I'll let you know if they do!

The good news is that our bus took us all the way to our stop this time, unlike our last trip when it let us off twenty minutes early - that's twenty "on the bus" minutes early. Not knowing why he unloaded everyone off his bus, we walked the rest of the way home. We were so grateful it wasn't pouring rain! None of us had watches, so we have no idea how long our walk was. We just enjoyed our steps and absorbed more of London along the way ~ Weee!

I LOVE the markets in England! Hey, have you bought yourself any "seconds" yet? That's china where the pattern isn't quite properly put on or something else isn't absolutely perfect; not enough that anyone would notice at first glance, but enough that they can't sell it for full price. I have a china cabinet full of "seconds" tea sets (shh, don't tell anyone).

Hey lady,

Do you plan on going back to the Greenwich market before you leave?? I would love to meet you there for some shopping :D

PS I have no idea how to get the shelf to my house, so I am thinking you might just want to sell it with all your other stuff.

Becki :)
