Lisa is with Jesus

Sweet Lisa, everyone's friend, was in the hospital on life support from April 23rd - June 12th. On Thursday, June 12th, she left the hospital to be with her family. Four am Friday morning, her husband, Robin, realized she went home to be with Jesus. The wave of pain throughout the South Bay is undescribable. Robin and his two kids (J and H) need our prayers and our support.

This father & son relationship reminds me of Lisa and Robin's relationship. Lisa was an amazing woman who rose early every morning and accomplished everything she was capable of accomplishing from her wheelchair, including home schooling their two kids. Robin was always at her side, helping her every step of the way.

His son asked, "Dad, will you take part in a marathon with me?"

The father who, despite having a heart condition, replied, "Yes". They went on to complete the marathon together.

Father and son went on to join other marathons, the father always saying 'Yes' to his son's request of going through the race together.

One day, the son asked his father, "Dad, let's join the Ironman together." To which, his father said, "Yes, let's do it."

If you don't know, Ironman is the toughest triathlon ever. The race encompasses three endurance events of a 2.4 mile (3.86 kilometer) ocean swim, followed by a 112 mile (180.2 kilometer) bike ride, and ending with a 26.2 mile (42.195 kilometer) marathon along the coast of the Big Island .

Father and son went on to complete the Ironman together:
